Art Music and Politics must meet

This was the name of a very big project organised by chelsea and Goldsmiths students. I took part in it from the art side with 3 of my pieces - 2 skulls i made last year and a giraffe from this.
Curating of the show was difficult as it is always with so many different artists as we all have different opinions.
The event itself was great! I was not there for the poetry and politics parts, but really enjoyed ( danced a lot) to some music performances that happened there.
But, to my mind, (and some of others too) the main point of the event was the social part - so many people met and talked on the day its actually incredible.
I hope there will be more of these to follow as will gladly take part in more! :)

New work.

This is my new work that i have planned for a while as it uses photography, and i wanted to do it for a while. I like the way it came out, i think that it looks interesting and is visually attractive. Also, it is still using kitschy elements, which i like.

PS. photographs used were taken by me.

Mindfuck exhibition by Bruce Nauman

This weekend i went to the Hauser and Wirth gallery, to see a show by Bruce Nauman called mindfuck.

I really enjoyed the show, humorous light installations were the best. I can relate to them well as they are super kitsch and super colourful :)

Its a shame that the gallery would not let me take pictures, but i found some online.

New work

So, here is my new pattern style piece. Here i have decided to fill the whole canvas with patterns, which, i think makes it more effective.
Now i am going to finish off a work using photography and a kitsch - style sculpture, and, after, i am going to try and paint a massive pattern style work, maybe around A2 - A1 size...

Roy Lichtenstein at TATE

Last weekend i went to see Roy Lichtenstein retrospective at the TATE and i absolutely loved it! I did not know how many different subjects artist actually covered with his unique style. I also really enjoyed his sculpture that i have never seen before. Overall - a brilliant exhibition, curatad nicely, so it is very easy to ingest the show. Very enjoyable!
