Degree Show Work

So, this is the final piece of my BA Fine Art course - a mixed medium installation using work that i have made over the past academic year. This includes works hanging from the ceiling, on the wall, the quilt and all the other little bits and pieces.

Matreshkas

These are a present. I have painted some ready made dolls and added different adornments to them too. I have called them by their traditional Russian name - matreshkas.

Tate modern

Had a beautiful visit to TATE modern recently. 2 very different but similarly amazing shows - Paul Klee and Richard Hamilton.

I found quite some similarities between my work and work by Paul Klee - the bright colours, the patterns, the small scale...

Richard Hamiltons work is very different to mine as it is much more painterly, but also very colourful.

One of the rare cases when i have similarly enjoyed both temporarily shows at the TATE.
